काठमाडौँके भृकुटीमण्डपस्थित राष्ट्रिय सभागृहमे नेपाल आदिवासी जनजाति पत्रकार महासंघ (फोनिज) के २७औँ स्थापना दिवसके अवसरमे आयोजना करल विशेष कार्यक्रममे फोनिज राष्ट्रिय पत्रकारिता पुरस्कार–२०८३ से पत्रकारिता आ मातृभाषा पत्रकारिताके क्षेत्रमे महत्वपूर्ण योगदान पुर्यावेवाला पत्रकार तथा व्यक्तित्वनके सम्मान करल गइल।
कार्यक्रममे फोनिज संघीय समितिके पूर्वअध्यक्ष तथा सल्लाहकार डण्ड गुरुङ, बिमला दुस्वेवा, तीर्थमान बल, सरिता श्रेष्ठ आ अविनाश चौधरीलगायतके सम्मान करल गइल।
एही अवसरमे मातृभाषा पत्रकारिताके क्षेत्रमे योगदान पुर्यावल नेपाल भाषा ‘लहना साप्ताहिक’ पत्रिकाके सम्पादकके विशेष सम्मान करल गइल। मातृभाषाके संरक्षण आ संवर्द्धनके साथै पत्रकारिताके माध्यमसे भाषा आ संस्कृतिके क्षेत्रमा पुर्यावल योगदानके कदर करत उहाँके सम्मान करल गइल हो।
कार्यक्रमके अध्यक्ष तथा फोनिज केन्द्रीय अध्यक्ष लक्की चौधरी आ प्रमुख अतिथि काठमाडौँ महानगरपालिकाके कार्यवाहक नगरप्रमुख सुनिता डंगोललगायत अतिथिहरू सम्मानित व्यक्तित्वनके नगद पुरस्कार, प्रमाणपत्र, मेडल, दोसल्ला आ मालासहित सम्मान करलन।
फोनिज मातृभाषा पत्रकारिताके प्रोत्साहन करेके साथै भाषा, संस्कृति, पहिचान आ समुदायके सवालके सञ्चारमाध्यममार्फत उजागर करेवाला पत्रकार तथा सञ्चारकर्मीके योगदानके सम्मान करत आइल बा।
फोनिजके २७औँ स्थापना दिवस तथा तीन दिने अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय मातृभाषा पत्रकारिता कार्यक्रम काठमाडौँके भृकुटीमण्डपस्थित राष्ट्रिय सभागृहमे आयोजना करल गइल रहे।

काठमाडौँके भृकुटीमण्डपस्थित राष्ट्रिय सभागृहमे फोनिज केन्द्रीय समितिके आयोजनामे भेल तेसर अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय मातृभाषा पत्रकारिता दिवस–२०२६ तथा फोनिजके २७औँ स्थापना दिवसके समापन समारोहमे स्व. हिमाल राईके परिवारके सम्मान करल गेल।
नेपाल आदिवासी जनजाति पत्रकार महासंघ (फोनिज) सुनसरीके उपाध्यक्ष रहल स्व. हिमाल राईके २०८२ साल बैशाख १४ गते असमायिक निधन भेल रहे। पत्रकारिता क्षेत्रमे उहाँके पुर्यावल योगदानके सम्मान करत फोनिज सुनसरी कार्यसमितिले उहाँके परिवारके समारोहमे निमन्त्रणा कइके सम्मान करल हो।
फोनिज केन्द्रीय समितिके आयोजनामे भेल समापन समारोहमे मातृभाषा पत्रकारिता, भाषिक अधिकार, आदिवासी जनजातिके पहिचान तथा समावेशी लोकतन्त्रके महत्वके विषयमे चर्चा करल गेल।
स्व. हिमाल राईके परिवारके सम्मान उहाँके पत्रकारिता क्षेत्रमे रहल योगदानके सम्झना करैके साथै दिवंगत पत्रकारके परिवारप्रति सम्मान आ एकजुटता व्यक्त करैके महत्वपूर्ण पहल रहल।
फोनिज सुनसरीले स्व. हिमाल राईके पत्रकारिता तथा संगठनमे पुर्यावल योगदानके निरन्तर सम्झना करैके आ उहाँके परिवारके साथमे रहैके प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त करल छ।
Journalists Honored with National Journalism Awards on FoNIJ’s 27th Foundation Day
The Federation of Nepalese Indigenous Nationalities Journalists (FoNIJ) honored journalists and personalities for their significant contributions to journalism and mother-tongue journalism during a special program organized to mark its 27th Foundation Day at the National Assembly Hall in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
The FoNIJ National Journalism Award–2083 was presented to former FoNIJ federal committee presidents and advisers, including Danda Gurung, Bimala Duswewa, Tirthaman Bal, Sarita Shrestha and Avinash Chaudhary, among others.
On the occasion, the editor of the Nepal Bhasa weekly newspaper ‘Lahana’ was also specially honored for his contribution to mother-tongue journalism. The honor recognized his contribution to the preservation and promotion of the mother tongue, as well as to language and culture through journalism.
FoNIJ Central President Lucky Chaudhary, who chaired the program, and chief guest Sunita Dangol, Acting Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, along with other guests, honored the recipients with cash prizes, certificates, medals, traditional shawls and garlands.
FoNIJ has been working to promote mother-tongue journalism and recognize the contributions of journalists and media professionals who raise issues related to language, culture, identity and Indigenous communities through the media.
The three-day international mother-tongue journalism program, along with FoNIJ’s 27th Foundation Day celebrations, was organized at the National Assembly Hall in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
Family of Late Himal Rai Honored
The family of late Himal Rai was honored during the closing ceremony of the 3rd International Mother Tongue Journalism Day–2026 and the 27th Foundation Day of FoNIJ, organized by the FoNIJ Central Committee at the National Assembly Hall in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
Late Himal Rai, who served as Vice President of FoNIJ Sunsari, passed away unexpectedly on Baisakh 14, 2082 BS. In recognition of his contribution to journalism, the FoNIJ Sunsari Working Committee invited his family to the closing ceremony and honored them.
The closing ceremony discussed the importance of mother-tongue journalism, linguistic rights, Indigenous identity and inclusive democracy. Speakers emphasized the need to promote journalism in Indigenous languages and protect linguistic diversity.
The honor given to the family of late Himal Rai was a tribute to his contribution to journalism and an expression of respect, solidarity and support for his bereaved family.
FoNIJ Sunsari expressed its commitment to continuing to remember Himal Rai’s contribution to journalism and the organization and to remaining supportive of his family.
